“ Great drinks and food! I love to stop at Iron Grind when I'm in Auburn. Their lattes, crepes and muffins are all so good! It is clean and the staff has always been friendly, even though I'm not a regular. Their's also have a nice sales display for handmade items and an area for kids to play. ”

Im specific on what I like and they nailed it! The atmosphere is clean and large. Fireplace, tons of seating(w a private room you can book), gifts and even a game night on certain days. Outdoor seating is available during the nice weather conditions. Great overall coffee shop. We will be returning !!! ”

“ This place is super cool. Literally, as the air conditioning works great on a hot day like today. First time here. I got a scoop of the lemon cheesecake, my wife got the Michigan pothole, and the kids got vanilla, orange cream, and mint chocolate chip. Wife found a hair in her ice cream but they were totally cool about it and gave her a bigger bowl of it. She also gave my wife a coupon for a free ice cream on our next visit. So great customer service and the ice cream is the tastiest we've had. We will definitely be back. Oh, and they have a play area too for the kids. ”

“ What started as a random pick along our route to Traverse City has officially become a must-stop every time we head up north. Iron Grind Coffee House in Auburn completely exceeded expectations. We expected a quick coffee and maybe a pastry—what we got was a full food and drink menu with serious attention to quality. I ordered the Farmers Crepe with eggs, bacon, sausage, and cheese, and it was one of the most satisfying breakfasts I’ve had from a coffee shop. Rachel ordered the French Toast Sticks, and we literally gasped watching them prepare it. They used a huge, thick slice of brioche—over an inch thick—dipped and grilled fresh. No frozen shortcuts here, just real effort and generous portions. I also tried the Cherry Bomb drink (green tea + lemonade + cherry syrup), which was light, refreshing, and perfect for the road. Tremendous food, great drink options, and a cozy vibe—Iron Grind is now a permanent part of our northern Michigan road trips. ”

“ The Iron Grind is a gem, nestled in Auburn. Unbelievably good food, delicious coffee, space for adults and children…. It is a dream come true for this mama. So many spaces these days aren’t kid friendly, it can be hard to go out and do things with kids, without the fear of how they’ll act when there’s nowhere they can “be a kid”. Hubs and I can have an awesome breakfast, or just a snack and some coffee while our energetic 3 year old gets to play in the awesome indoor play area. We have brought friends with kids here too! It’s just all around awesome. I think one of my favorite touches are the fruit snacks you can buy for your littles I’m guilty of forgetting to pack just about anything so it’s so great!!! ”

“ We popped in here while traveling to Manistee and it was lovely! I was so grateful they had gluten free dairy free muffins. They were delicious too. My hubs enjoyed his toasted marshmallow latte. The girls behind the counter weren't overly friendly, but we were there during the last hour of opening. ”

“ This is a great coffee shop converted from a former post office. It is spacious with plenty of seating options including outdoors, and includes two small meeting rooms which would be great for building community. The coffee was excellent and interesting decor including a wall full of pick-your-own coffee mugs. They also have ice cream and popsicles (dairy-free brown sugar) and some games for kids. ”
